Patty Frazee of Franklin, who serves as it's director, founded the Dedication Band.

"The Dedication Band was formed when I was asked to play my hammered dulcimer for the dedication of the Log Post office in Franklin in the Spring of 2003.  I was really excited to play, but really wanted some company," said Frazee, who was at the time "very much a new hammered dulcimer player."

She started asking other people who played "old style" instruments to join her and the band was formed.
